We knew that Kladruby are listed in UNESCO for their horses, but we did not know that UNESCO is protecting Kladruby for the unique countryside created by the hundreds of years of horse rearing. And yes, horses were everywhere…
Your ride may conveniently start at the square at Týnec nad Labem, or if you will be arriving by train, then at the railway station Týnec. The ride is very flat, but the path may be pretty rough, so MTB is recommended. It is easy to miss the turn to the tiny path at 5 and especially at 7, but you will enjoy riding barely visible path 7 to 9. Be very careful before the point 6 and at 8 and rather walk the bike. The stretch 11 to 13 is pretty hard as well.
Besides watching the horses at Kladruby, you may enjoy the protected area of Týnecké mokřiny (Týnec wetlands) at 2, and also the sand pits at 15. There you can also quench your thirst by nice cold Kofola.
