Nice and easy spring ride. Starting at the parking at the train station Říčany. You will quickly arrive at the pond Jureček and restaurant U Jurečka – it is the place where something is happening all the time. The last time we visited we saw a huge selection of fish for sale – it was the first time we saw the locally caught catfish (sumec). You can also park at this place to start your ride.
If you would feel tired at point 6, you can cut the trip short going straight downhill to point 8, but you would miss the ride through Voděradské bučiny (beech tree forest). In the alternative maps below, we send you through this shortcut intentionally… It is pretty steep and slightly technical part of the trip, but in the point 10 (alternative map) you will meet the statue of the salamander or newt. The size is closer to the newt from the famous book by Karel Čapek – War with the newts.
The alternative map will also lead you to the Kiosek U Františka at point 7 (also called Františkovy Lázně), where you can study many interesting signs and have a perfect glass of Kofola.
