An interesting short loop with a break for lunch at the Únětice brewery. We rode it earlier and we would not recommend this for the ride today with the fresh snow on the ground. Especially the part from 4 to 5 that was steep down and slippery already then… Rather walk your bike down unless you are a single-track rider – but even if you are, don’t do it since this is not a single track!
Otherwise, you will be riding through a lot of forests, which is quite unusual while being so close to Prague. Don’t forget to say your prayer at the statue of St. Juliane, stop for a beer in Únětice, and ride a little passage called “Kozí ocásek” (Goat’s tail) in that town. If you would ride with this map in better weather, you can climb up to Alšova vyhlídka just after Únětice. Don’t climb with your bike, just park it down there. Mikoláš Aleš was a famous Czech painter – you can see his graphics on several houses in Prague and he was one of the painters working on the decorations of the National Theatre.
