Gozo, Malta – Proposed Ride

Well, this is quite an unusual post. We planned this ride, and ordered rental E-bikes using website of the company MelaBike, but when we tried to call the company, nobody answered the phone. We came to the address given on the internet anyway, but there were no signs of any rental activity and the local taxi driver swore that he does not know about the company of that name ever existed. So we ended up riding in his car around the island of Gozo visiting the most interesting places and basically checking whether our planned ride is reasonable. So just in case that you will get there (and you should, it is worth visiting when you are exploring Malta), you can try this ride and let us know whether we got it right and whether it is rideable.

Couple of comments about our planned ride: (i) excellent food at point 4 The Pierre’s, (ii) Xwejni salt pans at point 5 – talk to the owners and taste the salt, (iii) Cliffs of Ta’ Cenc at point 9. You have to walk to the edge of 135 m high cliff and be careful not to go too close – the best time is the stunning sunset there.

So, if you come to Gozo and do not want to bike around, get in touch with Joey Taxi 48 and you will see everything on Gozo worth seeing and you will be shown the best place to have the best fish food you ever tasted.
