Kladruby in Autumn

This is an ideal ride in autumn. And this year was unbelievable for the mushroom hunters. Mushrooms were everywhere, and some sizes were impressive.

We reported on this area earlier in the spring, when the horses were out in the pastures. This is a protected UNESCO site known for its tradition in horse breeding culture, so you should definitely read about that and maybe go on one of their tours. The only part about this ride deserving comments is in the stretch between 7 to 13, where it is sometimes hard to see the bumpy ground covered by tall grass. At point 11 you must walk your bike around the fallen tree.

From 15 to 18 you will follow the “sandy beach” where a lot of people were camping even in this relatively cold weather with the main goal to catch some fish.

An interesting point can be found at 5 – where there is the sand dune Semínský přesyp, which you may easily miss, because it does not look like sand dune. However it is the unique place where you can find “kozinec písečný” the flower which was considered non existent in Czechia. The protected area is rather small – and there is no way to find its borders.
