Last time we rode very similar loop in Prague, we noticed the beaver’s work in the meanders of Rokytka stream. So, we had to check on his progress… Well, there was this report in National Geographic of the beaver in Brdy who built the dam much faster and with much less paperwork and expense than the Czech building company. However, we have to report that the Rokytka beaver realized that there is not enough material to build the dam and gave up on his project.
We modified the original ride by going through alternative paths along the main bike path and explored around. There is a number of alternative parking lots where you can start your ride, for example close to the point 6, next to the pump track where you can test your riding skills. At point 3 you will be riding on Sir Winton’s Boulevard, the new connection between Holešovice and Bubeneč, which was opened very recently.
At point 20 you will enter “the tree tunnel” which may be quite busy in the summer as it provides several accesses to the swimming. Close to point 22 you may check for the geocache – this particular one is one of the clever ones.
