Mirotice – If you like a Torture

We started from Mirotice, a place where Mikoláš Aleš was born. The blue tourist mark path is named for this famous Czech artist – you can find his creations on many houses in Prague. And it was quite an art to follow this blue path. From 3 to 4 you are passing under the highway through the construction site – on Sunday it was abandoned, but during the week it could be challenging. It would be probably better to stay on the road from 2 to 8. But then you would miss the first torture – 5 to 6, where first it would be hard to find the path under long dry grass (see the pictures) and later uphill climb with a lot of sharp stones. From 6 to 10 you may recover from the first torture session before the 10 to 11 piece. This stretch looks like freshly plowed field, but you will be only admiring the work of wild pigs. There is no way to bike through that – you just push your bike and hope that the pigs got tired and stopped their hard work. From 11 to 12 you will be biking most of the time only with several trees slowing you down.

And if you want to avoid all the swearing and sweating, you can go from 2 to 12 on the asphalt road, which, as you know from our blog, we are trying to avoid as much as we can. But then you would miss the sight of the castle Karlov, which can be better viewed from the east through the majestic tree alley. That alley may lead you to the road to Ostrovec avoiding thus the pigs work 10-11. You can also pick here the geocache GC1M9RQ .

From the point 12 you will have no problems riding and you will be rewarded by the nicest part of this E-bike trip 13 to 14. You can visit very unusual spa Vráž, where you would go just for being far from anywhere and enjoy the quiet walks around in the forest, but we did not test this option.
