This ride was definitely not for the weak! Climbing over and under fallen trees and crossing the stream about million times… Definitely mountain bike and a little experience in riding through the rough terrain would help.
Parking in Kaznějov was easy and restaurant Modrý Hrozen was good choice for our lunch. Yellow tourist mark leads you through the nice forest and fields, but at several places the road was obviously used by heavy machinery before. At point 4 you should not follow the yellow markings, but take a turn left to point 5 and rejoin yellow mark at point 7. The connection 4 to 5 is not mapped (we reported it and it may be fixed by now – yes, it is fixed, it just show how responsive is the team of mapy.com). The stretch 15 to 16 may be bikeable only by Red Bull professionals, but even they would have to climb over and under several logs.
After that will come the big decision – to go along Kralovický potok (18 to 28) or follow the green mark from 18 to 29. The valley of Kralovický potok is beautiful, but it requires you to cross the water eight times. So you would ride back to Kaznějov with water in your shoes. This was our choice, but it was definitely worth it. At point 24, which is a little off your path you may visit the absolutely perfect secret camp site – you may be wondering how could some people drive there with their cars.
The rest of the ride is quite pleasant, even though you would cross the water several more times (Nebřezinský potok)
– but your shoes are already wet, so why not.
