If you will ride here at this time of the year, you may find yourself in the middle of endless bright yellow fields of blooming “řepka” (rapeseed) fields.
By the way, řepka does not have a good reputation in Czechia, thanks to the famous politician Andrej Babiš – you can read about the case in many articles.
Anyway, you can start your ride in the square in Zruč with nice view of the castle. Most of the ride is very pleasant, you have to pay attention only to the downhill ride 3 to 4. We made a mistake following the red tourist mark from 6 to 8, which you really cannot ride as the path is too narrow and low – yes, low, you have to climb under overhanging branches. So we recommend going as marked on the map, but we did not actually ride this piece.
At point 9 you may park your bikes and visit the ruin of the castle Chřenovice and talk to its owner who is working on the renovation every day and expects to finish the job in four years. We seriously doubted that.
You will be passing twice through the point 2 where you can refresh yourself in a easy going pub “Ve staré škole”. At the end you will use the new bikepath around Zruč and ride through the castle park.

Interesting privite castle. The enthusiasm is strong. I know the track from Kacov to Zruc and back round the dam Svihov to Kacov(from the brewery to the brewery). Zruc with the palace and the parc are super. Good luck. No accidents.
