As you can see from the title, you will be riding through different beautiful valleys enjoying various sandstone formations. This is one of our favorite rides and maybe this iteration of the various modifications is the best one. Still, if you can ride here during the week day and not on the weekend you may improve your impression of this place.
Starting from the parking lot for the castle Kokořín can be recommended, otherwise finding good parking spot may be difficult. If you see too many people walking on the red tourist mark, you can go all the way to point 12 by the regular road. After that you will be riding through the valleys of different names (these valleys are called důl here), each of them having unique characters, just try to see those differences.
At point 15 you may take a little break and climb up the ladder to discover the nicest camping site in the Šemanovický důl, the cave Klemperka. Another point worth stopping is 17 Dum Řemesel Arcadis , where you can have a coffee or beer and see some artistic creations – see the title picture of this blog.
After point 19 you should pay attention, you will be going steep downhill. At the end of your trip you may bike to the point 24 to have a look at castle Kokořín across the valley. Castle Kokořín is one of not many castles privately owned. . It was purchased by family Špaček as a ruin at the end of 19th century, reconstructed, nationalized by the communist regime in 1951, and finally returned to the owners in 2006.
